The Permaculture association in Latvia was founded in 2011 and it combines European Permaculture Association, GEN(Global Ecovillage Network), Transition Network and cooperation with other Latvian nature preservative associations. Association popularises ideas of permaculture to wider society, gives opportunity to like minded people to meet, takes part in national and international projects, keeps in touch with other organisations in Europe, holds annual Permaculture festival and supports exchange of seeds and seedlings, workshops and seminars.
